Dear Parents,
When Christmas headbands arrive in the classroom, and you
hear the faint sound of bells, you know you are in the season! The girls have listed their favorite
Christmas songs on a survey on the blog, and soon we will be putting them into
an iMovie. As exciting as all of
this is, we are still trying to focus on Advent. It’s not Christmas yet!
The girls are finishing a unit in math that introduces algebra
in the form of open sentences, as well as true and false sentences. The concept is challenging, but the
girls are doing well. Katherine
Applewhite is also helping with math on Thursdays and Fridays, which is
great. She handles the Sunshine
Math, which gives the girls another venue for problem solving. Do you use QR Codes? Well, soon your daughters will. We are working on math problems that
will involve QR Codes. Ssh!
That is later this week!
Thank you so much for your support of our Christmas
Outreach. The tree in the foyer
looks as if Santa has already arrived.
You have helped many families to have a better Christmas!
Pam
P.S. Don’t
forget to look at the many useful websites listed on the blog.
