Fourthies Run the Polls!

Only the candidates could be more informed than our class.  It is amazing what the girls have learned in the last few weeks.  As you already know, they have read, researched, and taken notes on the candidates.  We had some glitches with Go Animate, so we will finish this week.  Today they ran the polls for the lower school, and they did a splendid job.   My internet is down at home, but I look forward to reading the blogs from those who wish to participate!

Here are some pictures of our election activities.

This Dad is a good sport!
Great nails for all of the Fourthies!

A handful of popcorn, anyone?  Flora offers us some!

Hurray for Russell and Kathryn!  TP Bowling and Frightful Organs Guessing Bowls
You don't want to eat the Frightful Organs!
Russell Combs and Kathryn Angus thought the party was over, but the girls had other ideas!

Berkleigh and Cabell...double mummies!  McKinley is the culprit!
 Carrington makes a scary zombie!
 Double mummies!
Katherine illustrates the Halloween math problem she wrote, which was based on information gathered on the class blog.  Great job, Katherine!

Girls, make sure you do your really hard homework tonight.  Count your Halloween candy!  We'll have fun with that tomorrow.  If you have a minute, check out the election websites I just posted for the project we are doing.  Have fun tonight, and don't eat too much candy!

Hi girls,
Just a reminder!  It's Halloween, and you can wear jeans tomorrow!  Don't forget to do your Halloween "flipped" math.

See you tomorrow!

Spirit Week - Dress Like an Athlete Day

Parents and Kids Having Fun on Globe Day

Dear Parents,

Today was wonderful!  Great weather, accommodating parents, enthusiastic girls....the first step in globe-making is over!  Even better, the globes survived recess.  One year we had a little incident...it seems the first graders needed a kickball.  Anyway, all is good!

As you know, Conference Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9.  Most of the slots are for that day, but there are also several other days available.  You can sign up on this link.

I will be sending more information about Conference Day, but I thought you would like the schedule now.

Thank you again for today!

Sincerely,

Pam
